Gone but not forgotten.

Kitgum district annually celebrates the gone hero Mama Irene Gleeson who sacrificed everything she owned to provide Education and Healthcare to thousands of disadvantaged children. Mama Irene passed away in July 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Today her legacy lives on through the Irene Gleeson Foundation.

On this day of celebration both young and old in Kitgum district matched the whole town as they provided essentials to people in the prisons and hospitals.

Students walked around the whole of Kitgum town with band music before visiting the hospitals and prisons.
